SCHOOL HISTORY

Jehova Jire English School - JJES was established on 10th January 2011 by Mr. Laltlanthanga Ngente at Pangbalkawn. His vision was to uplift the very low standard of education in Pangbalkawn village. With the belief that strong foundations should begin in childhood, he started this school to provide quality education to young children. During the early days, the school was greatly supported by dedicated teachers. These included a newly married couple from Manipur, India, a young lady from Haflong, Assam, along with her children, who all contributed wholeheartedly to the growth of the school. In 2011, the school did not have its own building. Classes were conducted in a rented building owned by Mr. H. Vanlalrawna of Pangbalkawn Village. By 2012, the school had its own building and began operating from its permanent campus.

Jire English School (Pvt. Unaided Institute) is a self-managed private institution, run as its own independent entity. During the initial years of its establishment, the school functioned smoothly without any major difficulties. However, as the year 2014 approached, the economic condition of the people of Pangbalkawn village declined significantly. As a result, JJES also faced severe challenges. At the end of that academic session, the school had to be closed. Despite these challenges, JJES had already gained vast experience and had earned a special place in the hearts of the people. It was always remembered by the community. With strong requests and collective support from parents and well-wishers to re-establish the institution, and the school has been reformed and revived since 2025.
